Macedonia: Two members of Government are under investigation for corruption, announces Zaev

Two members of the current government are under investigation for corruption, announces Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in his speech at the “Macedonia 2025″ Summit, which is being held in Skopje.

Zaev added that the investigations were opened after reports from concerned citizens, but stressed that he could not release more details.

“We are actively fighting corruption and it is not by accident that two members of the Government are already under investigation… They have only been here for two months and are already under investigation. I can not give any more details. Our priority is that Macedonia does not show mistakes from the past, above all, corruption. The law must apply to everyone. Only this way will new investments will be possible”,  said Zaev at the panel discussion within the “Macedonia 2025” Summit.
