Kosovo had the highest level of corruption in 2015

Institutions have highlighted today that corruption in Kosovo is widespread. The first to report before the Committee on Legislation, Mandates, Regulation and Supervision was the head of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Hasan Preteni.

Preteni highlighted as a big problem the non-declaration of property and false declaration. But, according to him another problem is the public procurement.

“The biggest risk is tenders of great value to the institutions,” adding that they are being monitored.

Member of the committee, Selvie Halimi expressed her concern about the level of corruption in the country, but raised doubts if this is a reality or just the perception of citizens.

For Armend Zemaj, another member, such high level of corruption is not a perception, but a reality, and this remains a concern for everyone.
