22-23 June 2017, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina: Trainings on Corruption Proofing of Legislation

Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI), organized two one-day Trainings on Corruption Proofing of Legislation in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The training scheduled for 22nd June 2017 was organized in cooperation with Civil Service Agency of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and gathered public servants from the Federation of B&H whereas the training planned for 23rd June 2017 brought together the representatives of B&H governmental institutions and civil sector and was organized in cooperation with the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption of Bosnia and Herzegovina (APIK).

The objective of the trainings was to build and strengthen the capacity of governmental institutions and civil sector in conducting corruption proofing of legislation, by learning how to review the form and substance of drafted or enacted legal rules in order to detect and minimize the risk of corruption that the rules could facilitate.

The trainings wereorganized within the Southeast Europe Regional Programme on Strengthening the Capacity of Anti-corruption Authorities and Civil Society to Combat Corruption and Contribute to the UNCAC Review Process, which is implemented by Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
