20 – 24 May, London, UK: Asset Recovery Project, Peer-to-Peer Visit to the British Authorities

AIRE Centre (Advice on Individual Rights in Europe) and RAI Secretariat partnered up to implement a 2-year Regional Project on asset recovery titled “Strengthening anti-corruption in the South East Europe through improving asset seizure measures” (the Regional Anti-corruption Project). The Peer-to-Peer Visit to the national authorities in the UK scheduled to take place from 20-24 May is the second and final Peer-to-Peer visit organised within the Regional Project.

The purpose of the Peer-to-Peer Visit is to learn first-hand about the best practices and experiences of British authorities in combating organised crime and corruption, and to gain better understanding of the modalities and mechanisms of the British asset recovery system. Key objectives of the visit are to strengthen cooperation among respective institutions and to facilitate peer-to-peer learning.
