22nd RAI Steering Group Meeting – April 14-15, 2016 – Bucharest, Romania
22nd Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI) Steering Group Meeting took place in Bucharest, Romania, on April 14-15, 2016. It was organized by RAI Secretariat in cooperation with the National Office for Crime Prevention and Asset Recovery of Romania.
The main decisions of the SG were election of Mr. Davor Dubravica as RAI Chairperson, adoption of the RAI Mission Statement and Communication Strategy as well as the adoption of amendments to the RAI Strategic Document, its Annexes 1 and 3, and Office Policies Manual. The Steering group also endorsed Secretariat’s and Chairperson’s initiatives to establish formal cooperation with European Partners against Corruption (EPAC), Police Cooperation Convention for Southeast Europe (PCC SEE) Secretariat, OECD and UNCAC Implementation Review Group (IRG).
The Steering group took note of the Financial Report for 2015 and information on Working Plan and Regional Programme implementation, as well as steps to be taken in 2016.
Meeting participants also had opportunity to exchange views with the National Integrity Agency of Romania, particularly on the regional cooperation in the field of conflict of interest and asset disclosure.
