The International Conference on ”Counter Corruption Best Practices – Increased Effectiveness through Interagency and Multi-Sectoral Approaches” took place on March 07-10, 2011, in Zagreb, Croatia. The event was co-organized by the United States Department of State Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs and the George Marshall European Center for Security Studies in cooperation with the United States Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.

The workshop provided ground to participants to present different governmental approach and activities towards curbing corruption at all levels. Among the main Conference goals were to increase awareness of US and European counter corruption programs, current best practices and initiatives in Europe, including at the sub-regional level, within an audience of both US and European governmental officials engaged in fighting corruption work. The focus was put on the support for counter corruption initiatives through strengthening the links among US missions in Europe and between US missions and local institutions involved in anti-corruption efforts. RAI Secretariat was represented by Mr. Stanislav Aleksandrov – Anti-Corruption Expert, who was speaker in the panel dedicated to ”Leveraging Partners’ Resources – Contributions of other Organizations”.
