28–29 November 2019 Belgrade, Serbia: Second round of 2-days training on effective asset recovery
AIRE Centre (Advice on Individual Rights in Europe) and RAI Secretariat partnered up to implement a 2-year Regional Project on asset recovery titled “Strengthening anti-corruption in the South East Europe through improving asset seizure measures” (the Regional Anti-corruption Project).
The announces Training is continuation of the Training on Effective Asset Recovery: Legal Standards and Good Practices held on 14 – 15 May, 2019 in Becici, Montenegro.
The training will build national training resources related to good practices in conducting financial investigations and effective asset freezing and seizure, European and UN standards, ECHR implementation, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge amongst peers, across the Western Balkan region.
The sessions will focus on specific issues which are of concern to the whole region (such as more effective use of extended confiscation, financial investigations, evidentiary threshold for asset recovery etc.). Session will be attended by judges/prosecutors/practitioners from relevant agencies.
