Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI), in cooperation with the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption and Regional Cooperation Council organized a second round of Training on corruption proofing of legislation, on 27-28 of March 2017 in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.

The training was organized within the Southeast Europe Regional Programme on Strengthening the Capacity of Anti-corruption Authorities and Civil Society to Combat Corruption and Contribute to the UNCAC Review Process. It gathered representatives of the Commission, Ministry of Justice, civil sector etc.

The overall training topics were risk allocation, preparation of the reports and recommendations which needed to be provided to the respective Institutions.

The training also marked a significant milestone, it was a first attempt to conduct a regional peer exchange whereas experts on corruption proofing from Serbia and Republic of Moldova were engaged in the training by sharing their practical experience and expertise from their countries.

RAI Secretariat is particularly grateful to the National Anti-Corruption Agency of Moldova and Anti-corruption Agency of Serbia for recognizing the value in regional exchange and permitting cross border cooperation in the field of corruption proofing.
