The Meeting of the SEECP Directors of National Institutions and Agencies for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime took place in Becici, Montenegro, on May 09-10, 2011. The event was held in the framework of SEECP. It was co-organized by Montenegrin Directorate for Anti-Corruption Initiative, Regional Cooperation Council and Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative Secretariat. The Meeting was opened by Mr. Ivan Brajovic – Minister of Interior of Montenegro.

The participants presented their experience and good practice in regard to the institutional anticorruption framework set up in South-Eastern Europe, focusing the discussions on the balance between law enforcement and prevention, as well as identifying some common challenges on the anticorruption field for the countries in the region. Among the most shared opinions was the one that the SEECP member states need a regional methodology with concrete benchmarks, which will indicate their real progress as far as implementation of anticorruption policies and measures is concerned.
