26 May 2020 – Presentation of the Regional Programme External Evaluation

RAI and UNODC Programme team organized an online presentation of the evaluation and findings of the Regional Programme titled Southeast Europe Regional Programme on Strengthening the Capacity of Anti-corruption Authorities and Civil Society to Combat Corruption and Contribute to the UNCAC Review Process. The Programme is implemented by RAI and UNODC since December 2015 and is due to be completed by the end of August 2020. Financed by the Austrian Development Agency, the Programme delivered a broad range of activities undertaken by the two implementing partners strengthening anti-corruption capacities in the following jurisdictions: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. Some Programme activities were undertaken in Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania as well.

The overall assessment of the Programme was positive in terms of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, and gender and social inclusion. The insights from the Programme’s implementation and deliverables ensured valid grounds for the recommendations that will be used in the programming and formulation of the follow-up action.

The external evaluation was conducted between November 2019 and March 2020, by Ms. Suzanne Mulcahy and Ms. Coralie Pring. For more insights, please find the Final Evaluation Report inclusive of findings and recommendations at the following LINK.
