Monitoring of AC Strategies

Effective Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of National Anti-corruption Strategies and Action Plans.

A special need to grow the efficiency of national mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of national anti-corruption strategies and action plans has constantly been mentioned at different national and international forums. There are states that have advanced to 3rd generation of their anti-corruption agendas and an adequate mechanism for their implementation monitoring proved to be a strong need.

The Regional Anti-corruption Initiative Secretariat launched the Project at the Regional Conference on Trends and Challenges in Implementing Anti-corruption Strategies, held in Skopje on November 25, 2014. See the conclusions of the event here.

As a result, the Methodology on Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of national Anti-corruption Strategies and Action Plans was developed by Dr. Tilman Hoppe for the Regional Anti-corruption Initiative. It was presented and endorsed at the International Meeting on Effectiveness of Corruption Prevention Measures, organized on May 18-19, 2015 by RAI, OECD, OSCE and RACVIAC and hosted by the Ministry of Justice of Croatia. The forum also adopted the 10 Principles of Effective Monitoring and Evaluation.

RAI is further committed to assist countries in implementation of the Methodology and the 10 Principles.
