Structure: headed by President, Vice President, and Secretary General; divided into administrative departments, Integrity Inspectorate, and support for integrity inspection

Level of Independence
– Permanence: established by Law no. 144 of 25 May 2007, amended by Law 176/2010
– Appointment: The president and vice-president of the Agency shall be appointed by the Senate, following a competition organized by the National Council of Integrity, in accordance with the law, for a 4-year term, nonrenewable.
– Removal: The president and the vice-president of the Agency may be removed from office only in the situations provided by the law. The Senate shall issue a decree for dismissal, at the proposal of the National Integrity Council.
